The Treselience mission-statement
The Treselience mission-statement
Fist of all some explanation about Resilience.
In short : Resilience is the way you handle bad conditions.
Please know: it happens to all of us !
There’s not 1 single life all positive.
We all get our share of bad luck.
And yes… bad things happening to us, brings us down. All of us.
But it’s how strong we BOUNCE BACK that shows how resilient we are !
Our art wants to help you reflect on your life.
In some cases it wants to add humor, in some cases it has a strong message.
Not that we think that you need education, but just like us: sometimes we can all use
a fresh new look. An eyeopener that suddenly makes you realize things you already knew.
Tresilience uses SATIRE by painting situations we all know, even based upon world famous paintings we all know.
Please: we don’t want to hurt anyone. If we did: please tell us so we can act accordingly and remove the painting all-in all.
The same goes for copyrights. Tresilience wants to respect copyrights ! We respect the work of other artists. If a photograph is used in one of the paintings: we paid for the rights to use it. We always try to reach out to the photographer, telling about our plans and designs.
However: we are only human ! If we screwed up: please don’t kill us for it: just drop us a line and we’ll credit you correctly.
About TOYS
WE LOVE TOYS ! Tresilience wants to THANK all designers and artists who invent toys. Without them the world would be a very grim place…
Toys are/were the sunshine in our childhood.
By depicting toys in our oil paintings, we don’t want to hurt any toy-manufacturer’s feelings.
Please LOOK at how we made our paintings. Please try to understand the MESSAGE we want to tell !
We could have filled the easiest objects with fantastically painted toys. But we didn’t !
The series is called NOT FOR CHILDREN !
Actually we want to send out a message to everyone working with children, to every parent:
Please take care of your children ! THEY ARE OUR FUTURE !
Toys are fantastic, REAL toys are AMAZING.
But, as it’s not all gold that glitters: not everything that looks like a toy is ACTUALLY A TOY !
Guns, sex, broken hearts, even death are depicted in our paintings.
They all look very colorful and funny: but actually these are all subjects not meant for children to see.
Not everything that LOOKS LIKE a toy is actually a toy !
Please note: in the US, 19 children A DAY (!) die because of gunfire. GUNS ARE NOT TOYS !
Once more: please keep your children safe.
About painting toys: our paintings are NOT about the individual toys. It’s about using our freedom of speech to share a very clear and strong message: our children are EVERYTHING !
Please buy/give them REAL toys, don’t let them play with death, keep them clear from anything that could damage them in any way.
If you would have any questions or remarks about our statement: please reach out to us and drop us a line !
Kind regards,
Josh
